Hanging with Aunt Shannon and Uncle Mike

More pictures from Easter weekend. Last time Mike saw the boys he and Ben matched outfits. This time we dressed Matt to match him.

Who Doesn't Want to be Wrapped up in Puppies?

We were back in Illinois over the weekend and had a great time. It was fun to have the boys back in Rochelle now that they're a little more active and alert. I have a ton of pictures that I need to find time to upload. I will get them up as soon as I can.
In the meanwhile here are few pictures from when we gave them a bath while we were home. I don't have to tell you that they're both requesting to be wrapped up in giant puppies after every bath now.

They're Coming Around on the Cereal

Ben even gets excited when we hold the spoon in front of his mouth. Matt's yucky face is much less intense. He even holds his mouth open. Not quite the arms-raised-in-excitement emotion (Note: I call him "Touchdown Ben" when he does that) that Ben has, but he's definitely coming around.

Yay! Cereal! No More Scrunchy Face

First Feeding

At the boys last checkup we got the go ahead to start feeding them "real" food. Real as in the mush that is baby food. We started simple, mixing up rice cereal just like the box indicated for "Baby's first feeding." Some observations:

1) The number of bibs we need to own just tripled.
2) In addition to the unmistakable "yucky" face, the other expression most worn by the boys was confusion
3) Ben is already trying to grab the spoon away from me.
4) Matt did not like it. At all.
5) When mixed according to the directions for a baby's first feeding, rice cereal is the consistency of soup. Thin, watery soup. Which is fine but in my head we were going to be feeding them the previously mentioned mush. This is apparently something they work up to.

I've added a few pictures below. Click on them for bigger versions and the whole set can be found here.

Bath Time

Bath time is a little more fun now that the boys can sit up and look around a bit. Its especially nice since they haven't quite figured out how fun it is to splash Or to wrestle the nozzle away from me.
